Kristyn’s Wedding June

In mid June I had the pleasure of making up Kristyn and her sister Saskia for a beautiful wedding in Richmond. Kristyn wanted a fairly natural makeup which enhanced her eyes but let her still look fresh and not made up. In the trial we used neutral colours on her eyes to keep them looking soft. I used Mac Groudnwork as a base for the lid - this is a favourite wedding eyeshadow of mine not only as it holds the rest of the colours on for the whole day but also it works great as a base colour as it’s a soft taupe brown. I then used Satin Taupe on the lid with a little bit of coffee pencil as a liner on the top. She didn’t need mascara she had extensions in on the day.  I also used Estee Lauder Doublewear Light foundation on her skin along with other primers and skincare items. We kept cheeks fresh with Pinch O Peach blush and used Pattisserie Lipstick with Ample Pink Gloss on lips with strip down lip pencil.

Kristyn’s sister Saskia wanted to look a little different so we used greens on the eyes - something like Mac Sumptuous Olive will do the trick. I used Bare Study Paint Pot as a base and then we used Phone Number Khol pencil to line the eyes. I then contoured the crease of her eye with Print eyeshadow, very blended out.  I used Posey Cream blush on her cheeks and matched her lips using Viva Glam Cyndi Lauper lipstick and Posh it Up Gloss on her lips. This lipstick is now discontinued but you can use another colour called “lickable” which would be just as nice :) it’s a fresh raspberry colour with a soft sheen. It’s perfect for adding a hint of colour without it looking too much!

And look how cute is this little thing! Kristyn got the idea from a bridal magazine and made loads and loads of these little things for each table at the wedding. I thought it was too cute and worth a mention :)
